Just in case I wasn't clear in that last post, I LOVE T.I.

I stumbled across this Breakfast Club interview and practically fell in love. I'm pretty sure that our generation has never seen swag of this magnitude. He's so intelligent. So driven. So humble. So smoothe... Not to mention he has the best possible Atlanta accent to go with that million dollar smile. (Trust me. Anybody who's been to Atlanta KNOWS that everybody down there doesn't have a accent that sounds like T.I.'s)

Anyway. I just love him :) ...And the Breakfast Club always does great interviews because they ask all the ratchet questions that mainstream media would be afraid to address.

..And the fact that he compared his book to "The Coldest Winter Ever" makes me want to go and order it. Like...right now. LOL

Peep the interview below:

Take It From Here.

After I mentioned this song in my post a couple days ago, I've found myself randomly humming it for no reason. And then today, I listened to it ALL the way to work (which is about 45 minutes.) So, I figured I'd post it just in case someone hasn't heard it. Or just in case someone hasn't heard it in awhile. You're quite welcome.

P.S - I hope my future husband likes this song because it's in the running for being played at my wedding. FYI.

I Put On: Leah LaBelle & "Living the Life".

I don't subscribe to a lot of people's Youtube channels, but one that I do follow is Jermaine Dupri's. He has this series that he calls "Living The Life" that I LOVE. It's just a crazy amount of youtube videos that show his life, his travels, his parties, and (the main reason that I watch) some of his studio sessions.

One of my goals in life is to be in the recording studio when a great song is made. (I haven't really figured out how I'm going to make that happen yet but...I'm working on it.) Anyway, this is the closest thing I can get to that. (This ...and Brian Michael Cox's random late night Ustream series called "The Studio: Exposed." Don't judge me. I told you I was a music-head.) I think that the whole process of creating music is mind blowing and absolutely profound. The thought and decision-making strategies of finding which sounds compliment each other and which melodies accentuate certain beats is hands-down the coolest stuff I've ever seen. And then once you add in these talented vocalists, it's honestly like magic.

So, I just watched the most recent episode of "Living The Life" and JD introduces this girl named Leah LaBelle. I did a little research and found out that she's this talented R&B singer who appeared on the 3rd season of American Idol. She obviously didn't win but she clearly kept pursuing her dreams and ended up in the studio with JD and B. Cox. #Winning!
Check her out and remember who put you on ;) Oh...and I had to include some of my favorite "Living The Life" studio sessions (with Trey Songz, Johnta Austin, and Brandon Hines)

Please peep how long these dudes spend on an ad-lib. Just one. CRAZY amazing.

(Trust me. You could spend hours watching those "Living The Life" videos. Some of the "Talk to Me" sessions are hilarious! LOL)

Les is more ;)

JT is back!!!!

I don't know if this is from a new album. I don't know if it leaked or if it was intentionally released. All I know is that I'm HYPE about new music from Justin Timberlake. (And I LOVE when he does these types of songs! Anyone who knows me, know that "Take It From Here" is one of my ALL TIME favorite songs.)

Anyway, here it is. You're very welcome. (Sorry about the tag...It's the only version I could find.)

Do It Like A Dude.

After I saw Jessie J with the house band on the VMAs, I realized that I didn't have her album. I had heard "Price Tag" and a few other songs, but I always say that real singers sound better live and her vocals were flawless that night.

So, I got the album...and forgot about it until yesterday when I actually took the time to listen to each track. All I kept thinking was, "If for some reason, somebody wanted to combine Katy Perry and Christina Aguilera, they'd get Jessie J."

BUT THEN...I got to the acoustic version of "Do It Like A Dude"....jeeeeeeez. First off, I LOVE the acoustic version of most songs. But she WENT IN. I was baffled by how this little white girl from London got so gully and Caribbean on this track. Her R&B soul vibe is so cool and her vocals are amazing. I would love to hear her do a cover of either "Ooh La La" or "Portuguese Love" by Teena Marie.

Ok...I'm done promoting this chick lol. Watch the video. She needs to make more music like this.

Good Night.

Roscoe Dash is good for making these club anthems. Honestly, I can't think of anybody who does it more consistently than him right now. From "No Hands"...to "Show Out"...to "Oh My"...he's winning. And his swag is on the rise. Peep the video! (Note: This song is much flyer uncensored.)
